Ziva's Furniture

I paid $5 for the changing table. It was missing one of the shelves.I replaced it for $6 and paid $12 for the paint. I love the color...watermelon. I think it looks great and the price is good.
This is the chest that was bought at a garage sale for $10. New handles for $12,paint for $8,and some Dollar Tree Stickers....I think it turned out wonderful. She will be able to use it for a long time.

I bet you all are wondering who is Ziva? She will be my first grand baby. I have made her a quilt with matching bumper pads, but some how I have no picture. I will have to add that in my next post.

A Customer's Quilt

This is a quilt for her 6th grand baby. It is a girl. I used variegated thread, Hearts with ribbons is the quilting design. I have almost got the tension on my  machine fixed. I have decided to use only one brand of thread. So that I will not have to play with the tension as much as I have to with switching around with all kinds of thread.I hope that helps.

Start out with 10" squares with a 6.5" border ...re cut using the twister and you have perfect pinwheels                                                                                          These are a few of my students from my Strip to the beach bag class. We had the most fun.  This a pictures of the bassinet for the new grand baby    .This is a quilt that I did for one of my friends. It is a wedding gift. I took this picture while at Eleanor Burns tent in Paducah, Ky. I found it funny. It is not the best pic. I used my phone. I had sent it to the girls and Gary while on my trip....something we do.Gary sends the most since he travels the most. The girls thought I should use the pink one.lol

edit...the quality of pic looks pretty good

Been Busy in Sewing Room the last Two Weekends

This a fun easy pattern by Maple Island Quilts called Frenzy.
This is the back showing the quilting...trying to branch out to some new designs.

The quilting is my take on Wonky Feathers by The Pajama Quilter.
My  new bags for quilt camp in two weeks. The duffle bag is made by a pattern and we all have  made the humbug bag.....I just made up the other bag . Made them with 2 yards of prequilted fabric.

These are made from 3 one yard cuts of fabric. This was a work shop with the quild so we could have baby quilts to give to local charities. I have 3 more cut out . These are cute and fast. Now I need to get them quilted for the babies.

My New Sewing Room

This is the walls painted lime green and the concrete floors. The floors stained...not happy with my results. May add laminate flooring later.
Ironing area...fabric on the ironing board is the new cover. Gotta get that done.

Another view of cutting, sewing, and long arm.

Another view...design wall needs the fabric attached. Ive got white flannel for that.I believe it is on the cutting table.lol

View from door that goes into garage.

The babies bed and tv.

All my books.

The babies enjoying their bed.

I thought I would post pictures of my new sewing room. My Mom came and helped me get everything in the room. We worked on it a week.I've got to much stuff. I still need to do so much in the room. I'm not sure where everything needs to go. That will be a work in process. I will post more pictures as I get it done. Please forgive me for posting pictures of a messy room. I have gotten burned out working on this room. I'm ready to finish this...I want to sew!!!!
